Polynucleotides

Before and After Surgery

What are Polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides, also known as salmon sperm, are the hottest treatment in the aesthetic industry right now. The treatment is a regenerative injectable with the ability to rejuvenate and regenerate the skin. We treat the face and eyes as standalone treatments, or combine the two in a polynucleotide facial including a deep cleanse, tone, collagen mask and refreshing ice globe massage.

What do Polynucleotides do?

Polynucleotide injectables deploy purified, and sterilised fractions of DNA, which work to rejuvenate the skin. Mostly derived from salmon or trout DNA, polynucleotides are designed to stimulate fibroblasts, promoting tissue repair, assisting cell turnover, enhancing elasticity, and stimulating collagen production. Additionally, they can soothe inflammation and help to tackle skin pigmentation, resulting in a more even, brighter and refreshed skin tone. This treatment does not add volume (like dermal filler) so there is no risk of product migration or unwanted lumps and bumps. These injectables provide DNA molecules that encourage the skin to repair itself and boast various immediate and long-term skin-boosting benefits.

What are the benefits of Polynucleotides?

Polynucleotide treatments promote a wide selection of benefits. They target visible signs of ageing by rejuvenating the skin at a cellular level, leaving a brighter refreshed appearance. These injectables can be used to treat a wide range of concerns on any skin type, such as:

  • Evening skin tone and texture

  • Reducing lines and wrinkles

  • Treating hyperpigmentation

  • Treating sun damage

  • Reducing blemishes and acne scarring

  • Brightening the complexion

  • Minimising pores

  • Hydrating the skin

  • Reducing sagging skin

How many sessions will I need?

It's entirely up to you. Results can be seen immediately after 1 session, however, we recommend having 3 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart, repeating the treatment twice a year for best results.

What is the aftercare like?

Polynucleotide treatments involve tiny injections in the skin, leaving open channels that need to heal. Keeping the area clean is vital, as bacteria from sweat can enter these channels, which can lead to infections. The area treated may be a little red and swollen after treatment but this will subside over the next 24 hours.

Are there any side effects?

Polynucleotides is a minimally invasive treatment, potential side effects are few. Typical side effects can include bruising, redness, and swelling, as can be expected with any form of injectable treatment. However, more serious reactions, such as allergic reactions, can occur but are very rare.
