POWDER EYEBROWS
What are Powder Eyebrows?
Powder brows is a cosmetic semi-permanent makeup technique designed to create eyebrows with soft powder effect, very similar to eyebrow pomade or pencil. Powder brows can be the same density through the entire brow, or they can have an Ombre effect. This means that the inner part of the brow is lighter and gradually gets darker further out towards the tail. This results in a three-dimensional look.
The process
The whole procedure is a two step process, and it consists of the initial insertion of the pigment and the touch-up that takes place 4 – 6 weeks later. There is no downtime, the eyebrows may lightly flake as they heal during the 2 weeks after the procedure. Aftercare products will be provided and should be applied morning and night for 2 weeks. Activities, such as tanning, swimming and facials should be avoided as they can cause infection. See FAQ for more details about aftercare.DOES POWDER EYEBROWS HURT?There can be slight discomfort initially as the outline is created. After that, numbing agents can be applied completely numbing the area for the rest of the procedure.HOW LONG DOES POWDER EYEBROWS LAST?Around 2-3 years, after which the brows fade away as the pigments are broken down by the body. Annual top-ups are strongly advised and are half the price of the original procedure.

Powder brows vs. microblading
Both techniques are somewhat similar in the fact they both involve inserting pigment into the epidermis layer of the skin. However, microblading creates individual strokes that resemble the eyebrow hairs, while powder brows create tiny dots to achieve a soft makeup, powder-filled brow. By doing so, the result resembles the look of makeup application that includes a shade underneath the hairs (very similar to a permanent eyebrow tint). What is powder brows’ advantage over microblading is the fact that powder brows last a bit longer than microblading, which is typically around 18 years on average, without top ups.The choice between microblading vs powder brows comes down to which style you prefer and the suitability of your skin type. Lastly, powder brows is slightly less uncomfortable vs microblading.
